About Remove AI Watermark

Remove AI Watermark is a free browser-based utility for cleaning invisible text artifacts and obvious AI-style formatting from pasted text. It is designed to be simple: paste text, clean it locally, copy the result.

The tool does not use AI, detect AI, rewrite your words, or guarantee removal of every possible watermarking technique. It focuses on practical cleanup of hidden Unicode characters, formatting artifacts, long dash variants, and common Markdown presentation markers.

How it is built and tested

The sanitizer uses deterministic TypeScript rules that are covered by automated tests. Those tests include ordinary multilingual text, zero-width characters, directional controls, unusual spaces, Markdown markers, and long inputs. Image cleanup uses browser canvas re-encoding to create a fresh file from the visible pixels.

The project is open source. You can inspect the implementation and test suite in the GitHub repository.

What to review after cleaning

Some invisible characters are meaningful in particular languages or emoji sequences. Review cleaned text when zero-width joiners or non-joiners may be intentional. For exact cleanup behavior, see the hidden Unicode reference.
